Today's guest is Kayla MacArthur. Kayla MacArthur is a Transformational Coach and Co-Author of Gravel Roads. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Regis College, where she graduated first her in class. Kayla then worked for four years as a residential counselor, coaching young adults with mental illness, before deciding to ditch the conventional career path to blaze her own.

For the past eight years, she's been helping her clients do the same. Kayla is an avid traveler, storyteller, and champion for personal growth. She currently lives in a small Mexican Beach town with her partner, Ryan, where they recently wrote and published their first travel memoir together.

In this episode, Kayla and I talk about:

  • How to live and work in sync with the cycles of nature and life

  • Why owning our own seasons is an act of activism

  • How not to fall into the hustle as an early entrepreneur

  • Why systems like the patriarchy and capitalism keep us from listening to our own inner voice

  • How to regulate your nervous system as an entrepreneur, and

  • Why we are our own best strategy as entrepreneurs.

Especially as new entrepreneurs, women (and men) easily fall into hustle culture and work on their business non-stop. While it’s important to take consistant action, it’s just as vital to nourish and regulate ourselves.
